How to fix a neck bow

The maple/maple Strat plus neck had a serious forward bow and maxed out truss rod. This resulted in unplayable guitar with very high action.

Here is how to fix it (see pictures):

1) Create a back bow with clamp
2) Put it in an oven for an hour 175 F (= 80C)
3)  Ready (if not, put it back to oven)

Warning: Use these instructions at your own risk. You might cause unrepairable damage to your neck and/or oven.

Note: if a neck has been removed from the guitar and has been stored for a long time, it can create back bow, if the truss rod has not been loosened for storage. This had happened to my Japanese neck. That neck is 1962 Reissue, so it has one way truss rod, which can not do anything to a back bow except making it worse (American necks have two way truss rod that works both ways). The neck was useless. However, I loosened the truss rod, strung up the guitar and it fixed itself in a couple of weeks when the strings pulled the neck back to right shape.
